1.Google:
We know, we know, just how does the largest, most commonly used search engine in the world, go down? Is it even possible? Has it happened before? Well, the answer to that is affirmative, even though you might not have noticed it. The reason for this is because Google is extremely pro-active with outages, and it hardly takes them a few minutes to come back up and carry on like nothing happened.
“Between 15:51 and 15:52 PDT, 50 percent to 70 percent of requests to Google received errors; service was mostly restored one minute later, and entirely restored after 4 minutes,” Google was seen reporting on their Apps Status Dashboard.
So, what happens with Google’s out of form for even for a few minutes? GoSquared, a web analytics firm noted the entire web traffic takes a dip of at least 40 percent, in an event like this – so basically, the internet stops functioning for a bit. Scary, right?
People obviously cope up in the most obvious way to this occurrence – you know, by tweeting about it.

2. Twitter: So, like, when Twitter goes down, where do you go to complain about it?
We completely understand how Alicia feels.
Anyway, the last known Twitter outage that happened this year, resulted in the micro-blogging platform being unavailable for at least 30 minutes. Could you imagine the horror?
Ironically, this happened right after Twitter had sacked close to 300 employees, and was planning to do away with 300 more employees in the coming weeks – which means a total of 8 percent of their work force.
3. Facebook:
Aha! You probably guessed thing one was coming up right next, didn’t you? When we talk of Social networking websites, Facebook is the first one to make an appearance, but sometimes, it doesn’t – because, yes, despite Mr. Zuckerberg’s best efforts, Facebook also has had bad, bad days.
If you’re thinking this would cause massive Internet hysteria, we can tell you, that you’re right – because, people have been known to call the police in their locality when this has happened in the past. What, you think we’re making this up?
You know you need to re-think your life-choices, when the POlice tells you to get off the computer and go spend time with people in the real world.
